2023 Retreat Highlights

If you have ever thought about going to India then go with Ritu the owner of Yoga Tree.i had an amazing trip. The people, sights, food, yoga and even the shopping was incredible . Ritu was a fantastic facilitator. She speaks the language and understands the culture as only a local could. We experienced Hindu temples, heard His Holiness the Dalai Lama speak, went on hikes and indulged in the most delicious food. A truly life changing experience.

India certainly is a magical place, it’s vibrant, full of energy - you really never know what to expect! Ritu did an incredible job organising so many fantastic authentic activities only a native can show you, plenty of Yoga and the food yum! Dharamshala is amazing, we got to experience the teachings from the Dalai Lama, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to be in such a historical and spiritual place. Museums, hiking to waterfalls and the foot hills of the Himalayan mountains, plus plenty of unique opportunities to learn about Indian culture, arts & religion. Vicki Rapke

I feel very grateful to have Ritu show myself and the other women around Dharamshala, India. As a 23 year old, travelling overseas alone for the first time, I wanted an authentic, safe and grounding experience in India. India is a very special place. It has a rich, intense and beautiful energy about it - it’s so unique I’ve never experienced anything on this vibration before. Ritu did an amazing job on the retreat. There was a lovely balance of yoga, meditation as well as visiting significant landmarks, museums and nature spots. We were privileged enough to attend the Dalai Lama teachings for 3 days prior to the retreat starting and I cannot thank Ritu enough, for had it not been for her, I may have never experienced the miracle that is being in Dalai Lama’s presence and feeling the love and compassion channeled through him.

Charlotte Simpson

I had an amazing time in Dharamshala, India. The mountain hikes were so peaceful, and the group of women that attended made it even more special. The Dalai Lama shared some really wise teachings that I loved. Ritu, our host, did a fantastic job taking care of us, leading yoga sessions, and organising cool day trips. Oh, and the Mo Mo's were my absolute favourite! Overall, it was a heartwarming experience, and I'm grateful for all the special moments.

Debbie Robinson

The retreat in Dharmsala was an unforgettable experience of self-discovery, and the rich Tibetan culture in that region and the beauty of the surroundings made this journey very special. Ritu is a fantastic yoga instructor and she did an amazing job at organising the logistics of the trip and creating a very relaxed atmosphere and spiritual connection. Accommodation was very clean and comfortable, and I loved the fresh and wholesome food. Attending Dalai Lama’s teaching was the highlight. It was a truly wonderful trip.
